Why I use Hack as my editor font for coding?

Amidst the countless fonts available for programming throughout the Internet, I think Hack is an underrated font. A typeface designed for source code , it has gained huge support especially as Power-line variations used on the Terminal.

Hack

My Experience with this Font

For me, Hack is super easy on my eyes. I can work for hours without feeling eye fatigue compared to Fira Code for instance. I however recommend taking regular breaks throughout the day and follow the 20/20/20 rule when possible. It's about looking something 20 metres from where you are for 20 seconds, every 20 minutes.

It's a simple yet good looking font that helps you focus on your work without too distracting e.g. Cutive or BP Mono.

Cutive Mono

It's stunning on IPS screens. I previously avoided using it on traditional low DPI screens as I would soon get bored with it.

There are far more eloquent and more beautiful fonts such as Operator Mono, IBM Plex Mono, Fira Code and Mononoki but in my opinion, this one is much easier on the eyes for long stretch of coding session.
